Where 1865 Meets
Your Saturday Night
Host weddings, retreats, and milestone celebrations inside one of the oldest homes in Nashville's historic Germantown neighborhood — restored, reimagined, and yours for the day.
A 19th-Century Home,
Restored for a 21st-Century Guest List
The Germantown Inn sits inside the two-story Federal-style brick townhouse built in 1865 by H. H. Wallman, a German immigrant shoemaker who supplied Nashville's elite. Locals still call it "The Wallman House."
Restored over the course of a year and reopened as a boutique inn in December 2016, the property pairs original brick walls, fireplaces, and tall windows with the comforts you actually want for a wedding weekend — Frette linens in every suite, a chef-friendly kitchen, and a private rooftop with a downtown skyline view.
You're standing in the middle of Germantown — Nashville's first residential subdivision, on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. That means cobblestone sidewalks, mature trees (the neighborhood is an official city arboretum), and the densest concentration of celebrated restaurants in Music City.

Weddings & Elopements
Whether it's a 25-person dinner under café lights in the Courtyard, a first-look on the rooftop, or a full-inn weekend takeover with the wedding party sleeping in suites named for American presidents and pioneering women, the Germantown Inn is built for the kind of wedding people remember in detail.
Full-Inn Buyouts
Take all 10 suites and the entire property — Main House, Carriage House, Parlor, Solarium, Courtyard, and Rooftop — for the weekend. Up to 20 adult guests in beds, the whole property programmed around your event, and a curated welcome experience for arriving friends and family.
Corporate Retreats & Off-Sites
A boutique inn with the four meeting spaces and breakout flexibility most Germantown coworking spots can't match. Day rates available for the Parlor and Solarium; team dinners on the Rooftop or in the Courtyard. Walk to City House, Henrietta Red, or Pelato for client dinners without booking a single Uber.
Holiday & Milestone Parties
Friendsgiving dinners, milestone birthdays, anniversary trips, baby showers, New Year's Eve cocktail parties — packaged with our partner caterer Chef's Market for stress-free planning.
Four Distinct Spaces
The Parlor
A sunlit sitting room just off the front entry, with original fireplaces and tall windows looking out to the courtyard. Set it for a 16-person seated dinner, a board meeting, a wedding-party get-ready space, or a champagne welcome for arriving guests.
The Courtyard Terrace
A private greenspace tucked into the heart of Germantown, hung with café lights and surrounded by mature plantings. The Courtyard hosts most of our intimate ceremonies — and after dark, becomes the cocktail-party room everyone remembers.
The Solarium
A glass-walled, year-round room connecting the Main House to the Carriage House — ideal as a buffet line, a bar station during a rooftop event, a brunch room for the morning after, or a quiet breakout space during a corporate day.
The Rooftop Veranda
A private rooftop with a clean view of the Nashville skyline — the natural spot for a first-look photo, a cocktail hour, or a fireworks-night party (you've got front-row seats for both 4th of July and New Year's Eve over downtown).
Holiday Party Packages
with Chef's Market
Our partner caterer Chef's Market builds the menu, our team runs the room.
Seated Dinner
Multi-course, full-service dinner around an elegantly set, candlelit table. Up to 25 guests across the Parlor and Courtyard.
Cocktail Reception
Three menu options for passed hors d'oeuvres, served throughout the Main House, Parlor, and Courtyard. Up to 25 guests.
Full Inn Buyout
Add all 10 guest suites and program the full property around your event.
The Germantown Inn Weekend
A few of the moves our wedding parties tend to make:
Welcome Dinner
City House (90 seconds away on foot), Pelato, or Henrietta Red.
After-Party
Close Company (the new Death & Co–team cocktail bar around the corner) or Sonny's Patio Pub & Refuge — literally next door.
Morning-After Brunch
Babychan for Japanese pastries, or a coffee crawl through Steadfast, Retrograde, and Red Bicycle.
Bachelorette Weekend
Bearded Iris Brewing, the Nashville Farmers' Market, and a private rooftop wine night at the inn.
"The Germantown Inn is a relaxing, peaceful getaway with outstanding service in the middle of one of Nashville's most charming neighborhoods."
